News Associates is hosting free online journalism workshops over the course of April and May.
The UK’s number one journalism school is offering twelve free, hands-on workshops that will give you a glimpse into the industry and their award-winning NCTJ training.
Normally these sessions would take place in their London and Manchester offices, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak they are now taking place on conference call app Zoom.
As Brunel has closed for the year and there is little indication of when things will get back to normal, many of us are finding we have plenty of time on our hands and little to do with it.
I’ve taken part in the News Associates Summer School last year, and these online masterclasses are virtual versions of what I encountered during the fantastic two weeks I spent in their London offices.
These interactive sessions will be taking place from April 6, beginning with ‘Pitching stories with Journo Resources founder Jem Collins’ right through to mid-May with ‘In conversation with… BBC broadcast journalist Christian Fraser’.
